We live on a small family farm with our 3 kids, dogs, chickens and horses. We are located on 20 acres in a beautiful setting in State Road, NC just outside of city limits. Our dogs are part of our family. 

I grew up on a farm and helped my dad raise cows, goats, chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats…you name it. My life has been spent around animals, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Chris spent most of his adulthood training horses and breeding Dogs.  He has been in the breeding business for over 20 years!!! With helping him, I’ve learned a lot. We bought two Goldens for our kids, and fell in love with the breed!!! They are the most gentle, intelligent, BEAUTIFUL dogs. They have THE BEST, most balanced temperaments. From there, we decided to start learning more about the breed. We are passionate about Golden Retrievers.  We are diligent on spending time with our Golden’s.  Most of my days revolve around them! We know how much goldens need their people, and I need them just as much.Living on a 20 acre farm we have plenty of room for them to run, swim, explore and play daily. They are well balanced, healthy, and happy — ideal candidates for producing healthy, smart and confident puppies. As we are family, our dogs are family. We are devoted to our puppies here at Whiskey River Goldens.  Our main priority is ensuring the health and well-being of all our animals from birth until they leave with their forever family - and beyond.
